Chocolate Almond Strawberry Banana Smoothie

This is a dessert in a glass, the almonds give a delicate nutty flavor to an already fa- vorite drink.  What You’ll Need:  1 1/4 cups of strawberries (frozen) 1 cup of the greens of your choice 1 cup of ice 2/3 cup of bananas (frozen, peeled, sliced) 10 almonds 2 tablespoons of milk 2 tablespoons of honey 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder  How to Make It:  Add 1 1/4 cups of frozen strawberries, 1 cup of the greens of your choice, 1 cup of ice, 2/3 cup of frozen, peeled, sliced bananas, 10 almonds, 2 tablespoons of milk, 2  tablespoons of honey, and 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder into a blender or food processor and combine until smooth. 

Green Melon Smoothie  Another summer favorite made with cantaloupe and honeydew melons.  What You’ll Need:  1 cup of the greens of your choice 1 cup of cantaloupe (peeled, seeded, chunked) 1 cup of honeydew melon (peeled, seeded, chunked) 1/4 cup of ice 1 tablespoon of honey 1/2 tablespoon of lime juice  How to Make It:  Add 1 cup of the greens of your choice, 1 cup of peeled, seeded, chunked can- taloupe, 1 cup of peeled, seeded, chunked honeydew melon, 1/4 cup of ice, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1/2 tablespoon of lime juice into a blender or food pro- cessor and combine until smooth. 

Orange Sherbet Smoothie  Orange sherbet is low in fat and delicious and makes this smoothie taste great.  What You’ll Need:  1 cup of the greens of your choice 1/2 cup of orange juice 1/4 cup of strawberries (frozen) 1/4 cup of ice 1 scoop of orange sherbet  How to Make It:  Add 1 cup of the greens of your choice, 1/2 cup of orange juice, 1/4 cup of frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup of ice, and 1 scoop of orange sherbet into a blender or food processor and combine until smooth. 

Hearty Fruit Smoothie  This is an extra filling, extra satisfying smoothie that has everything you need for a well-balanced meal.  What You’ll Need:  1 cup of the greens of your choice 1/3 cup of blueberries (frozen) 1/3 cup of yogurt (raspberry) 1/3 cup of milk 1/4 cup of banana (frozen, peeled, sliced) 5 almonds 1 tablespoon of rolled oats 1 tablespoon of grape juice (concord) 1 teaspoon of flax seed meal  How to Make It:  Add 1 cup of the greens of your choice, 1/3 cup of frozen blueberries, 1/3 cup of  raspberry yogurt , 1/3 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of frozen, peeled, sliced banana, 5 al- monds, 1 tablespoon of rolled oats, 1 tablespoon of concord grape juice,  and 1 teaspoon of flax seed meal into a blender or food processor and combine until smooth.
